Speech Language Pathologist in Chicago, IL

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting the communication development of young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time role, running from October through March, centers on providing expertise to a Pre-K caseload. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to deliver high-quality speech-language services and help students achieve their communication and academic goals.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
• Active license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Illinois
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or current Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
• Experience working in schools and with early childhood or Pre-K populations preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with school-based IEP procedures and documentation

Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations for Pre-K students to identify communication needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families for best student outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
