Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates are welcome
  • Previous pediatric or school-based SLP experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Familiarity with IEP development and participation

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting speech and language goals
  • Work with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate strategies
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to student evaluations and goal-setting
  • Provide direct therapy (individual and group) within the school environment
  • Serve as a resource for staff regarding speech/language disorders and intervention techniques
