Desired Background and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current license (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP in Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows also welcome
- Previous school-based experience or experience working with pediatric populations is a plus
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and documentation requirements
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct assessments to determine speech and language needs of students across grade levels
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide direct speech-language intervention
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and consult with teachers regarding student progress
- Engage families in their child’s treatment and communicate goals and achievements
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with IEP, Medicaid, and school recordkeeping
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students
