A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support to students across multiple grade levels in a Chicago-area school. This contract role involves working with diverse student populations in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12, delivering individualized therapy focused on enhancing communication skills and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders for students in grades K-12.
  • Develop and implement tailored therapy plans based on individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute recommendations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working with school-aged children across multiple grade bands.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse learner needs.
