A specialized contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in a high school setting focused on students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. The assignment will take place in Ludlow, MA, within a program designed to support personalized education and promote student independence outside of traditional classrooms.

Assignment Details:

  • Location: Ludlow, MA
  • Duration: July 6, 2026 – August 7, 2026, with potential consideration for the 2026/2027 school year
  • Hours: 15-20 hours per week, spread over 2-3 days
  • Setting: Compass High Program at Ludlow High School, specializing in supportive education for high school students with ASD and related challenges
  • Caseload: Focused on AAC services; experience with AAC interventions is required though formal AAC evaluations are not mandatory

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure meeting all state requirements for SLP practice in schools
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience working with high school students, particularly those with ASD or learning differences
  • Competency in AAC service delivery and individualized communication support strategies

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted speech-language therapy to students within the Compass High Program
  • Collaborate with educational team members to tailor interventions and support personalized learning goals
  • Utilize AAC techniques to enhance communication and independence among students
  • Maintain accurate documentation as required by state and program standards
