Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP license for the state of Massachusetts
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting is advantageous but not required
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities
- Compassionate and patient, with a student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students
- Develop individualized therapy plans and track progress toward established goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school-based professionals to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of relevant accommodations and goals
- Provide direct and consultative services as outlined in each student’s plan
- Document sessions and prepare progress reports in accordance with school and district requirements
