This position offers a rewarding opportunity for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support students in a school setting located in Chugiak, Alaska. Positioned within a dynamic educational environment, this contract runs from August 14, 2026, through May 27, 2027, during the 2026-2027 school year. The role demands onsite presence with no virtual work options.
Responsibilities include managing caseloads across approximately two schools, primarily serving elementary students, with an average caseload of 47 students. The position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, structured as 8.5-hour days including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Essential qualifications for this role:
- Must hold valid Alaska certification and licensure for SLP or SLPAs.
- Current Speech-Language Pathology certification (SLP - CCC) preferred for SLP roles.
- Experience working in school settings is highly valued.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential to effectively support students and work alongside educators.
