Looking to make a positive impact in the lives of students for the 2026-2027 school year? Step into an engaging contract opportunity providing essential speech-language services to elementary students in a supportive and collaborative educational environment near Chugiak, AK. You’ll work onsite as part of a dynamic school team, managing a caseload split between two local schools with an average of 47 students—mainly at the elementary level.

Qualifications:

  • Active Alaska (AK) SLP Certification and licensure is required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred for SLPs
  • Experience providing speech-language services in school-based settings is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy and interventions to K-5 students
  • Assess, identify, and document students’ speech and language needs
  • Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and support implementation
  • Consult and collaborate with educators, support personnel, and families
  • Track student progress and maintain up-to-date records
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input to multidisciplinary teams
  • Foster a positive, inclusive therapy environment for all students

Position Details:

  • Full-time contract, August 14, 2026 – May 27, 2027
  • 40 hours per week, onsite only (8.5-hour days with a 0.5-hour unpaid lunch)
  • Opportunities available for SLPs and SLPAs (two positions open)
  • Manage a caseload averaging 47 elementary students across two sites
