A contract opportunity is available for a licensed or clinical fellowship speech-language pathologist to provide services at an elementary school located in Chula Vista, CA. This position offers a full-time schedule with a consistent daily routine supporting students from transitional kindergarten through 5th grade, including those with speech IEPs and moderate/severe SDC placements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to a caseload of approximately 46 students
- Conduct assessments and develop detailed reports to inform student progress
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Collaborate with school staff to support speech and communication goals
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligible candidates accepted
- Experience with elementary-aged students and diverse caseloads preferred
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply
- Willingness to work under a contract from August 5, 2024, through June 12, 2025
Schedule Details:
- 40 hours per week
- Daily hours: 7:30 AM to 2:15 PM
- On-site in a school setting; teletherapy and hybrid models are not available for this role
Additional Notes:
- Candidates should be open to potential collaboration with a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) if necessary
- The position emphasizes direct in-person support to students during the school day
