Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a welcoming elementary school setting. This role is full-time for the first semester, with excellent potential for extension into the second semester, allowing you to make a lasting impact on students’ communication skills.

Serving a transitional kindergarten through fifth-grade campus, you will work primarily with students presenting mild speech and language needs. The majority of your work will focus on direct therapy and progress monitoring, with additional responsibilities that include conducting select assessments and minimal participation in IEP meetings—giving you increased opportunity to devote your talents to hands-on, student-centered therapy.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
  • Current California licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Previous experience with school-aged children, specifically in elementary grades, preferred
  • Ability to design and implement engaging therapy plans for students with mild speech and language needs
  • Strong data collection and documentation skills
  • Effective communicator and collaborator with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to elementary students (TK-5)
  • Assess students as needed and interpret results to inform intervention
  • Collect data and track student progress toward IEP goals
  • Participate in a limited number of IEP meetings and collaborate with educational team members
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding student progress
