Make a meaningful impact on students’ communication development as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive school setting. This full-time contract opportunity offers multiple positions in the area, working approximately 37.5 hours each week. As part of a collaborative team, you'll work with diverse student populations, with caseloads tailored to the needs of specific campuses. Individual SLP assignments typically range from 35 to 62 students, while those working as part of an SLP/SLPA team may see caseloads between 60 and 85.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Texas state licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to starting)
- Prior school-based SLP experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and varying needs
Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students as assigned
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with measurable goals
- Deliver direct therapy services, tailoring intervention to each student’s strengths and needs
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to promote student progress
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely data collection for compliance
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case management
- Provide guidance and mentorship for SLPAs as needed
