Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Texas
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or clinical fellow (CFY) status welcomed
- Experience working with high school students or within a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, speech/language evaluations, and intervention plans
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Compassionate approach to supporting diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to high school students with communication disorders
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Administer comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with relevant standards
- Offer consultation and training for school staff on speech/language concerns as needed
- Participate actively in meetings, team collaborations, and continuing education activities
