Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Texas
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or clinical fellow (CFY) status welcomed
  • Experience working with high school students or within a school setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, speech/language evaluations, and intervention plans
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Compassionate approach to supporting diverse student populations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to high school students with communication disorders
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Administer comprehensive speech and language assessments
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with relevant standards
  • Offer consultation and training for school staff on speech/language concerns as needed
  • Participate actively in meetings, team collaborations, and continuing education activities
