Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Cicero, IL

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity for the upcoming school year working with Early Childhood through 8th grade students. Serve a diverse caseload of approximately 70 students alongside another SLP, within a well-supported, collaborative educational environment. This role is dedicated to on-site service, ensuring your expertise has a direct and meaningful impact on students. The position begins in mid-August and runs through late May, aligning with the standard academic year.

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) certification (CCC required)
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Current licensure from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Experience providing therapy to school-aged children; exposure to both Early Childhood and elementary/middle grade levels is a plus
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to work onsite throughout the entirety of the contract
• Candidates must have an ISBE number for consideration per client requirement

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy to K-8 students, split between two SLPs for optimal caseload management
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and family conferences
• Maintain thorough and compliant documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and progress monitoring
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
• Adhere to district union guidelines and procedures
