This contract position is ideal for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists who thrive in school settings and are passionate about working with middle and high school students.
You’ll be stepping in to provide FMLA coverage for a full-time role (35 hours per week) with a schedule of 7:45am-3:15pm. The assignment begins August 17, 2026, and extends through September 15th—possibly a week longer if a transition period is needed. The caseload features primarily 9th-grade students in transition, along with some 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
Qualifications & Preferred Background:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC-SLP required)
- Previous experience in school-based SLP roles strongly preferred
- Expertise in conducting initial and re-evaluations for students
- Understanding of pediatric and adolescent speech-language needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and re-evaluations for middle and high school students
- Deliver direct treatment services, create individualized plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Support students during key transition periods to promote academic and social success
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school and state guidelines
