Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Cicero, Illinois

This contract position is ideal for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists who thrive in school settings and are passionate about working with middle and high school students.

You’ll be stepping in to provide FMLA coverage for a full-time role (35 hours per week) with a schedule of 7:45am-3:15pm. The assignment begins August 17, 2026, and extends through September 15th—possibly a week longer if a transition period is needed. The caseload features primarily 9th-grade students in transition, along with some 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

Qualifications & Preferred Background:

• Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC-SLP required)
• Previous experience in school-based SLP roles strongly preferred
• Expertise in conducting initial and re-evaluations for students
• Understanding of pediatric and adolescent speech-language needs
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial and re-evaluations for middle and high school students
• Deliver direct treatment services, create individualized plans, and document progress
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
• Support students during key transition periods to promote academic and social success
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school and state guidelines
