Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-8 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a maternal leave coverage near Cicero, IL. This school-based role focuses primarily on serving students in grades 5 through 8, with a manageable caseload of 15-20 students. Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Relevant schools-based SLP experience or strong interest in supporting K-8 populations
- Ability to manage a small group caseload while providing both individual and group services
- Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills to connect with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy in both pull-out and inclusion settings, focusing on 5th-8th grade students
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Conduct ongoing assessments and document student progress per district and legal guidelines
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to provide the best holistic support
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
- Engage in new staff training (details to be determined by the district)
This contract position runs from August 17, 2026 through November 27, 2026, with an estimated 32 hours each week and a supportive school environment.
