A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in pediatric and school-based services. Step into a vital role providing coverage for a maternity leave from August 19th through the end of October. This position offers full-time hours and the chance to support students’ communication needs in an engaging educational environment near Cicero, IL.

Leverage your passion for helping children advance their speech, language, and communication skills. Collaborate with a supportive multidisciplinary team and gain experience in a vibrant school setting, including opportunities for professionals completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Teletherapy experience is a plus, as there may be opportunities to provide services in both traditional and remote formats.

Your Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Illinois state SLP license (or eligibility)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred; SLPs completing their CFY are encouraged to apply
  • Experience working with pediatric populations and school-aged children
  • Background in teletherapy considered valuable
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting speech-language assessments and screenings for students
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans (IEPs)
  • Delivering therapy services both in-person and through teletherapy as needed
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to maximize student progress
  • Maintaining accurate documentation related to assessments, treatment, and student progress
