Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist, supporting students during a maternity leave assignment in a vibrant and collaborative school environment. This full-time, on-site role runs from September 4, 2026, through December 11, 2026, and will serve both elementary and middle school populations. You'll work Monday through Friday for a total of 37.5 hours per week, making a meaningful difference in educational outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Current, active Illinois SLP license (required)
- Demonstrated experience in school-based or pediatric SLP settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, educators, and families
- Comfortable working onsite full-time (this role is not open to telepractice/virtual candidates)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary and middle school students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with school teams and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Provide direct therapy services and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Consult with educators and staff to integrate speech and language goals across academic settings
