School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Citrus Heights, California

Make a meaningful impact working directly with students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) in a collaborative school-based environment. This immediate, in-person opportunity supports a diverse caseload of K-12 students (ages 5-22) within an engaging educational setting. You'll work alongside a dedicated SLPA and provide essential services for around 45 students, covering while the current SLP is on maternity leave. The position is ongoing, with a 30-day notice required prior to ending the assignment, offering both stability and flexibility.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Minimum of a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid state license (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP
• Prior experience working with school-aged children and adolescents, preferably within a K-12 system
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Role responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive speech and language services to K-12 students, addressing communication, articulation, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and document progress according to state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student growth and success
• Supervise and work closely with the on-site SLPA, delegating and supporting as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, trainings, and school initiatives
