As a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC), you will make a direct impact by providing expert services primarily to preschool and elementary students, with occasional involvement with middle and high schoolers. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Washington State
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Previous school-based experience preferred; strong new graduates considered
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in conjunction with the educational team
- Document and report progress toward therapy goals and educational achievement
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other support staff to promote students’ overall development
- Conduct screenings and participate in multidisciplinary meetings as needed
- Offer support and education to families regarding speech and language development
