Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students from 3rd grade through 12th grade as a speech-language pathologist. This school-based opportunity, located near Clarkston, MI, is ideal for professionals who are passionate about helping young learners achieve communication success. With a flexible weekly schedule totaling 37.5 hours (within 7:50am to 2:25pm, depending on school assignment), you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the academic year, starting August 19, 2026 and concluding June 9, 2027.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Hold or eligibility for SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Current (or pending) state licensure/certification for school-based practice
  • Prior school-based SLP experience preferred, but talented new graduates (CFY) are welcome
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to different school settings, and manage a diverse caseload
  • Competency with assessment, IEP development, progress monitoring, and therapy implementation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students in grades 3-12
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and revise IEPs
  • Maintain accurate documentation to track student progress and compliance
  • Offer consultation and resources to teachers and family members
  • Address a wide variety of communication, language, and social pragmatic needs
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and school meetings
