School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Clarkston, Michigan

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who enjoys working with elementary-aged students. Located near Clarkston, MI, this position begins in November and runs through June 4, 2027. You’ll have the chance to make a significant impact by supporting students’ communication and language development in a K-5 school setting.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
• Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP in Michigan, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
• Prior experience in a school-based SLP role preferred
• Strong organizational and collaboration skills with teachers, administrators, and families
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners and advocating for student success

What You’ll Do:

• Provide direct and indirect speech and language therapy services to elementary students according to IEPs
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans, and document progress
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support students’ goals
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning
• Engage students in creative, motivating speech therapy activities that foster growth and confidence
