Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC), SLP Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFY), or licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in North Carolina
  • Previous experience or internship in a school-based or pediatric environment preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary special education team
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, assessment tools, and therapy planning
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children of varied backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy and support for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP development, progress monitoring, and annual reviews
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to integrate speech goals into classroom learning
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and session notes
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
  • For SLPAs: Implement supervised treatment plans and support SLPs as needed
