This contract opportunity, based in the Latham area near Clifton Park, NY, covers a full-time maternity leave during the first semester of the school year, following a traditional 10-month calendar. What You Bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in New York
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience working with preschool-age children preferred
- CFYs are encouraged to apply—virtual supervision is available
- Ability to manage a caseload of 40-42 sessions per week
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills
Your Focus:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions during student hours from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, supporting our youngest students across the first semester
- Develop and implement effective, evidence-based therapies, tailoring interventions to each student’s needs
- Create progress reports, participate in IEP meetings, and communicate regularly with educators and families
- Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive space that encourages communication growth and self-confidence
- Work closely with school teams, special educators, and support staff; SLPAs are not part of the service model
