School Speech Language Pathologist - Clifton Park, NY

The role focuses on serving Kindergarten through 5th grade students, delivering Speech-Language Pathology services in a collaborative educational setting. Key Details:

• Contract assignment with two options: September through June or September through November.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:45 am – 2:45 pm.
• Work with elementary-aged children (Kindergarten through 5th grade).
• Provide 9 sessions daily, with a dedicated lunch break and two periods reserved for planning. Caseloads are adapted based on student schedules and needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
• Eligibility for NY state licensure.
• Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and deliver speech and language therapy services to assigned elementary students.
• Develop and implement IEP goals in partnership with educators and families.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation, including progress notes and required compliance paperwork.
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Adapt therapeutic approaches to suit individual student needs and schedules.
