School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Clinton Township, Michigan

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field required
• Valid state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants welcome
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Knowledge of best practices for developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging students, families, and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech, language, and communication assessments and therapy to elementary-aged students
• Manage an active caseload of approximately 50-60 students, with flexibility for potential increases
• Develop individualized treatment plans and IEP goals aligned with student needs
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with school/district policies
• Attend team meetings, professional development, and participate in multi-disciplinary support

This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) spans the school year, beginning August 25 and concluding June 18. The position offers the satisfaction of fostering lasting change in the lives of children—while working within a structured, supportive educational setting.
