School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Cochran, Georgia

This contract opportunity involves working directly with a medically fragile school-aged student, ensuring their specific communication needs are met with care and expertise. You’ll conduct two 45-minute sessions per week, delivering high-quality interventions tailored to the individual’s goals.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
• Active state license in Speech-Language Pathology
• Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged clients, particularly those who are medically fragile or have complex needs
• Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and modify approaches as needed
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for coordinating with families and school staff
• Comfortable providing services in a home setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess speech, language, and communication skills to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Deliver two 45-minute sessions each week in the student’s home, focusing on strategies and exercises that target specific functional goals
• Engage with parents/guardians to coach and empower them in supporting home practice
• Document progress and adjust interventions as necessary for optimal outcomes
• Liaise with school personnel and any interdisciplinary care teams when needed
