Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active SLP license in Mississippi or eligibility to obtain before the assignment start
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFs considered
  • Understanding of IEP documentation, special education procedures, and collaborative work in school settings
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Compassion and dedication to fostering positive outcomes for children and adolescents

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services for a diverse caseload of students
  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and other school professionals
  • Document progress, update IEPs, and participate in eligibility and IEP team meetings
  • Support and educate staff and families on strategies to maximize student communication success
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
  • Stay current with best practices in the field and participate in ongoing professional development
