This contract-based position is located near Coldwater, MS, and offers an opportunity to work closely with a diverse student population in a supportive educational setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Active state SLP licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates are welcome
- Previous experience in a school environment is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ communication skills using a variety of standardized assessments and observational methods
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs
- Provide both individual and group therapy, targeting speech, language, and communication challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth and generalize skills into the classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and compliance documentation as required by state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff professional development sessions, and ongoing district training
