Speech Language Pathologist in Colonial Heights, VA

Step into a pivotal part-time role shaping student communication skills over the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity offers Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) the chance to work closely with students and support an SLPA through effective supervision. Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• Valid and active state license for SLP practice
• Prior school-based experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of IEP process and best practices in educational settings
• Supervisory experience or a strong interest in mentoring/supporting an SLPA

Core Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
• Provide direct therapy services to a diverse student population in accordance with IEP goals
• Oversee and guide the daily duties of an SLPA, ensuring quality services and professional growth
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliant records and progress notes
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to promote student success
• Stay current with developments in SLP practices and school-based service delivery
