This contract role offers the opportunity to work full time with children in kindergarten through 5th grade, helping them overcome a variety of communication challenges and develop essential skills for academic and social success. Your expertise will be key in supporting students who present with needs in articulation, receptive/expressive language, fluency, social-pragmatic skills, and high-tech AAC device use, with caseloads ranging from mild to severe.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Relevant state licensure or eligibility
- Experience in a school setting, including work with elementary-aged children
- Knowledge of a broad range of speech and language disorders
- Proficiency with AAC high-tech devices preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services addressing student needs such as articulation, fluency, language, social-pragmatic skills, and AAC technology
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Document progress toward IEP goals and maintain compliance with school and legal guidelines
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP meetings
