Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active state licensure as required for speech-language pathology practice
- Previous experience in school environments and working with pediatric populations
- Strong understanding of IEP development, caseload management, and relevant documentation procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for family and team collaboration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Screen, assess, and provide therapy services to students with speech and language needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop goals and plans
- Document session notes and maintain compliance with school and healthcare regulations
- Offer consultation and support to teachers and families to help generalize communication strategies in the classroom
- Design and adapt materials and interventions appropriate for a school setting
- Provide progress reports and contribute expertise to case conferences
