Seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about making an impact in an educational environment. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity begins in August 2026 and continues through late May 2027, working with students in a supportive school setting near Columbia, SC. You’ll play an important role in fostering students’ communication skills and supporting their academic growth throughout the school year.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Active SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Valid state license for Speech-Language Pathology in South Carolina (or the ability to obtain)
- Previous experience providing speech services in a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication, collaboration skills, and cultural competence
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication skills using assessment tools and standardized tests
- Develop and implement appropriate therapy interventions
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop strategies supporting students’ communication needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and share recommendations for student success
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds
