This school-based contract opportunity near Converse, TX is ideal for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) passionate about helping students thrive. There are two full-time leave openings available: one for 13 weeks from August 10, 2026 to November 2, 2026, and another for 8 weeks from August 12, 2026 to October 2, 2026, both offering a consistent 37.5-hour work week.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or active SLPA credentials
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an SLP (CCC or CFY) or SLPA
  • Prior experience in a school setting working with children and adolescents
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and other school professionals
  • Ability to supervise, if required (SLP-CCC candidates)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, voice, language, and fluency disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student's IEP
  • Provide direct therapy services to students across a range of ages and needs
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with IEP teams, teachers, and families to promote student progress
  • Participate in parent meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development
  • Support generalization of speech and language goals within the classroom environment
