Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Converse, TX

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current and active TX SLP license (Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA Cert)
• Bilingual abilities are highly preferred
• Previous experience working in a school environment with K-8 populations is a plus
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor an SLPA
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reference documentation required prior to onboarding

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to a K-8 caseload at ML King Academy
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Supervise and provide ongoing support to an SLPA
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to foster academic success
• Complete thorough evaluations, progress reports, and all required documentation
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district policies and procedures
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings

This is a contract role, starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 26, 2027. The position is entirely full-time (40 hours/week), with a schedule from 7:30am–4:00pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
