Make a direct impact in the educational setting by supporting students’ communication development in a nearby school community. This contract role for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) offers full-time hours—30 to 35 hours per week—with an opportunity to collaborate with fellow professionals and help young learners thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications/Experience Sought:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience working in a school environment strongly preferred
- Ability to conduct assessments, write reports, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Comfortable working with a diverse student population ranging from mild to moderate communication challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students with a range of communication needs
- Assess, diagnose, and create targeted treatment plans to support academic and social success
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain thorough records and contribute to the IEP process
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students’ speech and language development
- Participate in school meetings and professional development as needed
