Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience in a school environment is preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare educational reports
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student goals
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Offer guidance, resources, and training to students, teachers, and families
- Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student achievement and self-advocacy
