Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP in Texas
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities with fellow educators, students, and families
- Proficiency in providing therapy services to children of varying ages and needs
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech and language therapy to students in accordance with their individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and track student progress
- Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, contributing expertise as the SLP on the student support team
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to facilitate students’ educational success
- Document all services, progress notes, and recommendations in a timely and thorough manner
- Adapt therapeutic approaches to accommodate a diverse caseload and range of needs across grade levels
