Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP in Texas
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities with fellow educators, students, and families
  • Proficiency in providing therapy services to children of varying ages and needs
  • Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect speech and language therapy to students in accordance with their individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and track student progress
  • Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, contributing expertise as the SLP on the student support team
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to facilitate students’ educational success
  • Document all services, progress notes, and recommendations in a timely and thorough manner
  • Adapt therapeutic approaches to accommodate a diverse caseload and range of needs across grade levels
