Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other school staff
- Deliver therapy in individual and group settings, tailoring interventions to each student’s needs
- Maintain accurate case records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with district and regulatory requirements
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development sessions as needed
- Educate and consult with teachers and families on student needs and communication strategies
- Support students across various age ranges and grade levels
- Adapt therapy materials and approaches to align with each school’s culture and resources
