School Speech Language Pathologist - Corrales, NM

This rewarding contract opportunity offers two positions available, serving a diverse caseload of approximately 40-50 students at both elementary and secondary school levels. You’ll work a consistent schedule of about 37.5 hours per week, providing essential support to help students develop the communication skills they need to thrive academically and socially.

Ideal candidates are either fully licensed SLPs or Clinical Fellows (CFs) eager to gain valuable school-based experience. Passion for working with children, adaptability, and strong collaboration skills are key to success in this setting.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Eligibility for (or possession of) New Mexico RLD and NMPED licensure—assistance provided if needed
• Open to experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs)
• Strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and diagnose speech and language disorders among students
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
• Provide direct therapy services and consultative support in both group and individual settings
• Maintain timely documentation and progress reports
• Educate and collaborate with teachers and families to integrate communication strategies
