An exciting opportunity is available for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists in the San Juan Capistrano area. This contract position focuses on supporting students in preschool, elementary, and middle school settings during a Leave of Absence. There are three SLP positions available, offering the chance to work on-site in a dynamic and supportive school environment.
Start and end dates are flexible, with the anticipated assignment beginning around mid-October and a high likelihood of extending through the school year. Each SLP can expect to work with an average caseload of approximately 55 students, providing vital speech and language services across multiple campuses.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist license in California
- Previous experience in school-based settings, particularly with preschool through middle school age groups
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Commitment to onsite services and reliable attendance
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to students identified with communication disorders
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and participate in meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student success
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school-based meetings
