Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid Oregon SLP license and/or Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired/Communications Disorder Endorsement
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- A few years of relevant experience, particularly in school settings
- Background working with students who have moderate or severe disabilities highly valued
- Skilled with low-tech and high-tech augmentative communication systems ideal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License required
- First Aid/CPR certification may be required
Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic speech-language services to a diverse student population
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, behavioral specialists, and classroom educators
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Document progress while maintaining important confidentiality standards
- Participate in meetings with families and staff to promote student growth and advocacy
