Make a meaningful impact supporting students with diverse learning needs as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist at two engaging school campuses. In this role, you will divide your time between a high-needs campus focused on special education and a school dedicated to social communication skills. You’ll play a pivotal role working with approximately 33 students, primarily within life skills programs across two high schools and one elementary site, from early September through mid-June.

Candidates with experience in feeding and swallowing (safe eating) and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) are highly preferred, though supportive training is available for motivated professionals. You’ll collaborate with a wider SLP team remotely and enjoy strong in-person support from special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other classroom aides while managing your caseload independently.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Background in school-based SLP services, preferably with experience in life skills programming
  • Knowledge or interest in feeding/swallowing strategies and AAC (training provided if needed)
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of an interdisciplinary support network
  • Strong communication, organization, and adaptability skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and deliver direct SLP services for students with moderate to severe disabilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals related to speech, language, feeding, and communication
  • Provide safe eating instruction and assistive communication solutions as appropriate
  • Collaborate virtually and in-person with a dynamic team of SLPs, special educators, and para-support staff
  • Maintain thorough progress documentation and participate in monthly team meetings
