Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Rhode Island state licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Experience working with severe and behavioral needs caseloads is highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for working in school settings and dedication to making a positive impact on children’s lives
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and legal guidelines
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and provide ongoing guidance for academic and behavioral strategies
- Offer support for classroom activities and staff training when needed
