School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Cranston, Rhode Island

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
• Rhode Island state licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Experience working with severe and behavioral needs caseloads is highly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Passion for working in school settings and dedication to making a positive impact on children’s lives

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and legal guidelines
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and provide ongoing guidance for academic and behavioral strategies
• Offer support for classroom activities and staff training when needed
