Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current or eligible Rhode Island state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but open to strong Clinical Fellows
- Prior experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies for a diverse student population
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings of students’ speech and language abilities
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and create targeted intervention strategies
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services within classroom and one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support students’ learning needs
- Monitor, document, and report student progress in accordance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Stay updated on best practices and maintain ongoing professional development
