Take your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist and make a meaningful impact in a school-based setting with a highly diverse and vibrant student population. This contract opportunity offers engaging work supporting PreK–12th grade students within a district where over half of all learners come from multilingual homes. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators, help students find their voices, and provide essential speech and language support.
Key Qualifications:
- Current or eligible for RIDE PK-12 SLP Certification
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- School-based SLP experience strongly desired
- Comfortable managing fluid caseloads that may fluctuate due to staffing
- Bilingual abilities or experience with Early Childhood a plus
- Experience with AAC/assistive technology setup and management
- SLPAs/CFs are not eligible per union guidelines
Role Highlights:
- 35 hours per week, Mondays through Fridays
- Caseloads average 60 students but may be higher at times
- Assignments available in general PK–12, Early Childhood/Preschool, and Bilingual tracks
- Deliver direct therapy, complete comprehensive assessments, and handle related documentation
- Set up and manage AAC or other assistive tech devices for student communication needs
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to inform learning strategies and student supports
