Step into a rewarding role supporting student communication and academic success as a contract Speech Language Pathologist in the Florida Panhandle. This full-time opportunity begins August 11, 2026, and continues through June 1, 2027, with placements available at one or two school campuses based on your preferences and experience. You’ll work on-site only (not open to virtual service) with students in preK through age 22, tailoring interventions to diverse needs across elementary, middle, or exceptional student populations.
Key Qualifications:
- Active FL DOH Provisional SLP License required
- Previous school-based experience is highly valued
- Ability to complete Florida fingerprinting requirements (prior prints through the AHCA Clearinghouse may be valid)
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to equity and inclusion for all learners
- Flexibility to work at one location or travel between two area schools, as assigned
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy to students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and track individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Consult with classroom teachers and parents to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to ensure compliance with district and state requirements
- Adapt services and materials to fit a wide range of ages and abilities
