Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- At least a few years of clinical experience working with children or in schools
- Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired or Communication Disorder endorsement, or State of Oregon SLP License
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Experience supporting students with moderate and severe disabilities is highly valued
- Familiarity with low and high-tech augmentative communication systems a plus
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate well with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to confidentiality in all aspects of student and staff interaction
- May require a current First Aid/CPR card
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language services to a varied caseload of school-aged learners, including those with complex communication needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary special education team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide both direct therapy and consultation, integrating augmentative communication strategies as needed
- Support ongoing assessments and progress monitoring for students
- Maintain detailed records adhering to district, state, and federal guidelines
