Stepping into this role, you’ll gain valuable supervisory experience by leading SLPAs at an elementary campus and managing a diverse workload of 70-80 students per campus. This flexible, primarily itinerant position ensures each day brings fresh challenges, opportunities to broaden your skillset, and chances to witness a variety of school-based practices and leadership styles.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC and Texas licensure (or eligibility)
- Previous experience providing services in school settings
- Comfortable with elementary caseloads and full school-year commitments
- Supervisory experience (or strong aptitude) for leading SLPAs
- Open to supporting Clinical Fellows (CFs); willing to train and mentor
- Not a virtual/teletherapy (Voco) position
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech/language therapy to elementary students
- Supervise and support SLPAs; collaborate on student care plans
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and manage documentation
- Provide itinerant services across multiple campuses as needed
- Foster communication between staff, students, and families
