Qualifications/Desired Skills:

  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
  • Ability to work with diverse student populations, adapting therapy plans as needed
  • Proficient in conducting assessments and creating individualized education programs (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to K–12 students with varying needs
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on student evaluations and IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and fellow specialists to support student progress
  • Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with school and state standards
  • Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for student success
  • Monitor, review, and adjust interventions regularly to ensure student growth
