Make a difference supporting student success as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic school-based contract position near Cypress, TX. In this rewarding opportunity, you’ll provide essential speech and language services, collaborating closely with educators and families to help students communicate with confidence and reach their academic potential.
Your expertise in SLP and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) status will enable you to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders. You’ll create supportive learning environments and individualized therapy plans to meet the diverse needs of students across multiple grade levels.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in Texas
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) awarded by ASHA
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is a plus
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with families, multidisciplinary teams, and school staff
- Commitment to fostering inclusivity and supporting diverse student populations
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to integrate therapy into classroom activities
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with guidelines
- Advocate for students’ needs and participate in IEP meetings as a valued team member
- Communicate effectively with caregivers to support carryover of strategies at home
