Make an impact supporting the academic and communication needs of young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist working onsite with schools in the Cypress, TX area. This opportunity is ideal for passionate SLPs interested in collaborating with dedicated school teams and mentoring Speech-Language Pathology Assistants. You’ll focus on evaluations and participation in ARD meetings—therapy is not required, allowing you to apply your expertise in ways that directly shape student success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Texas SLP license (CCC required)
  • Experience in school-based settings, particularly with primary and elementary populations
  • Skilled in conducting comprehensive speech-language evaluations
  • Ability to supervise and mentor SLPAs
  • Familiarity with ARD meetings and IEP processes
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete a variety of speech-language evaluations for students in primary and elementary campuses
  • Provide effective supervision and support to assigned SLPAs
  • Participate in ARD meetings and collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEP goals
  • Ensure compliance with school district and state requirements
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all evaluation activities
  • Consult with staff and families to support student communication needs
  • Engage in professional collaboration with the wider school speech team
