This contract opportunity welcomes Clinical Fellows (CFs) as well as SLP Assistants (SLPAs), offering hands-on experience and the chance to collaborate with a dynamic educational team.
Your primary responsibilities will include supporting two local high schools, Empower and EJCHS, working directly with a caseload of 45 students. The role is fully onsite, giving you the invaluable opportunity to build lasting relationships and monitor student growth firsthand. You will primarily serve students in program classrooms, with service frequencies that range from consultative support to regular weekly sessions.
Qualifications and Desired Experience
- Active Georgia SLP License with GaPSC Certification (SLPs)
- For assistants, a Bachelor's degree and appropriate GaPSC certifications
- Experience or openness to supporting high school students in specialized classroom settings
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Collaborative approach, comfortable liaising with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services to a diverse high school caseload
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor student progress regularly
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate communication goals into classroom activities
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all relevant district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and team consultations as needed
