A bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 school setting in the Dallas, TX area. This contract position supports a school district with services primarily for early elementary students (K-5) in an itinerant capacity. The role offers a unique blend of on-site student interaction and one remote day per week dedicated to report writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy services as part of the district’s evaluation team
  • Serve multiple campuses within the district, focusing on K-5 students at various schools
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized treatment plans
  • Utilize district resources including test kits, computers, and other necessary tools for assessments and reporting
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Participate in meetings and trainings relevant to caseload needs and district guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license required
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish essential to support diverse student populations
  • Experience working in school settings preferred, particularly with early elementary age groups
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model: majority on-site with occasional remote work

Location:

  • Mesquite Independent School District, Mesquite, Texas

Contract Details:

  • Duration: ASAP through May 28, 2026
  • Up to 30 hours per week
  • Itinerant role covering multiple campuses with an office at the Student Support Center
