Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Active Texas SLP license required
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or DHH Teacher certification essential
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) processes
  • Capable of working within a regional day school program for the deaf
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for student and staff collaboration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver focused speech-language therapy services to DHH students in a specialized program
  • Collaborate closely with a team of SLPs, sharing caseload and clinical responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and documentation of IEPs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy accordingly
  • Support approximately 130 students alongside two additional therapists, emphasizing hands-on therapy interventions
  • Complete district-required credentialing steps, including fingerprint clearance before the start date
